Perhaps an Effort

January 29th, 2010 - johnmal

Thanks everybody for coming out to the show last night it was a blast. So for any of you late arrivals that didn’t see our first song we played a brand new one that had never been played live…in front of an audience. So I’ll be a little honest I was pretty surprised at how well it sounded and I’m excited that its only going to get better from here on out. Anyway we had some of the songs filmed so here is a video of Perhaps an Effort Live @ the NorthStar Bar. Enjoy.

Christmas Travels

December 21st, 2009 - Gavin

Well it looks like we’re all going our different ways for Christmas soon. It’s been a great year and we’re so glad we managed to get a 2009 release of ‘This Didn’t Just Happen’ out. We are looking forward to seeing everyone in January as we book new shows in Philadelphia and around the north east. There may also be talk of a little tour coming up this spring… so stay tuned.

I’ll be in sunny Pensacola for the next few weeks. If you are there, let’s get drunk at the beach and sing Christmas songs.

The Road

December 18th, 2009 - Organ Blues

Gets 4 out of 5 gold Organ Blues’ Stars.

So last night Gavin, Good John, and myself went out to see The Road, which is based on the book by Cormac McCarthy. Myles would’ve made it out but wasn’t feeling to well…anyway just wanted to let you guys know that the movie totally kicks ass. Of course its always hard for movies to live up to the books they were based on but John Hillcoat’s version of The Road was pretty spot on. Actually its almost exactly the way I would personally picture post apocalyptic america – I usually get shit from all my friends because I tend to pick up anything interesting I find on the side of the road. The Road is my daydream of the apocalypse.

Anyway I’m getting off topic – the point is that the movie is intense, bad ass, gruesome, and you should go see it. Oh, although the action/suspense is great the movie is a little slow, so if you’re in the mood for just another ‘end of the world action flick’ go see 2012.

Hey crackheads have fun at con college

October 31st, 2009 - Organ Blues

As a PS to Mal’s last post.  The morning we found that some douche fuck crack heads had robbed our house Mal and I headed out to do some detective work.  We were alerted that the idiots were trying to sell the stuff not even 10 blocks from our house where they stole it from!!! Needless to say they were apprehended shortly afterward and will be spending some time in prison!!! Best part is I got my guitar back!!

Also some other good news is that our brand new album “This Didn’t Just Happen”  will be mastered by Monday at the latest and hopefully for sale very soon after.
